WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A 2D, 3D, 4D, AND HD ULTRASOUND?
2D ultrasound is the black and white typical ultrasound you see in your routine ultrasound.
3D ultrasound is a still, golden volume rendering of baby's face and body. It utilizes the same ultrasound waves and intensity as 2D and the computer compounds this information to create a surface rendering of baby.
4D is a 3D ultrasound in motion.
HD realistic view is 4D ultrasound with artificial skin tone and light to create realistic shadows and make baby look like they would in a photo.

IS IT SAFE?
Ultrasound technology has been studied over the past 30 years and has not been shown to cause any harm to the mother or baby. We adhere to FDA guidelines.

WILL THIS ULTRASOUND TAKE THE PLACE OF AN ULTRASOUND ORDERED BY MY DOCTOR?
No! Our ultrasounds are purely elective. We only obtain a limited diagnostic exam during your visit with us. Our main focus is to get you keepsake pictures, baby's heartbeat and estimated fetal weight. If we happen to notice any abnormalities we will of course reach out to your doctor to follow up with you.

WILL THIS ULTRASOUND BE COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
No, we do not accept insurance because this is an elective procedure. It is advised you do not use fsa/hsa funds for your visit as it may be an unapproved use of funds.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO KNOW GENDER?
No problem! We will attempt to avoid the baby's gender area throughout the ultrasound. We are also happy to notify a bakery of your choice of the gender or provide you with the gender determination in a sealed envelope. We also have confetti cannons available for sale!

WHO CAN I BRING TO MY ULTRASOUND?
whoever you'd like! We have seating for up to 10 people!

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes we are only in the studio by appointment! Our listed hours are when we are available to answer phone calls. Please call, text or book an appointment online!

HOW EARLY CAN I HAVE A GENDER DETERMINATION APPOINTMENT?
We are able to determine baby's gender with 99.9% accuracy from 14 weeks and up!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE A 3D/4D ULTRASOUND APPOINTMENT?
You are welcome to see baby anytime but we recommend 28-35 weeks for best full face detail! 4D ultrasounds early in pregnancy will not show facial detail but rather baby's entire body and limbs in motion.

IS THERE ANYTHING I SHOULD DO BEFORE COMING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
Water! We recommend drinking water and only water for 3 full days leading up to your appointment. We say shoot for 2-3 liters of water per day for 3 full days leading up to your appointment to give us the best shot at getting clear pictures! More water means clear and plentiful amniotic fluid which is essential for good 4D imaging.

I’M HAVING TWINS! DOES IT COST DOUBLE?
We don't charge extra for twins! Please consider coming in around 28 weeks for facial detail with twins! Two babies take up more space which can make it difficult to see both babies as they grow!

WHAT TYPE OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
We use Samsung WS80A Elite Ultrasound Units equipped with the latest in technology, Feto-Realistic view HD ultrasound. Our units are replaced every 4 years to allow us to keep up with the latest and greatest in current ultrasound technological changes!​

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
There are no refunds on any services or gift cards sold by Little Beginnings. We try to be extremely fair in our pricing and determining the quality of the imaging session you receive. Please read on below!

DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY IF I DON'T SEE BABY'S FACE?
There are many factors that contribute to great face pictures of baby! Maternal body composition, baby's position, fluid levels and placenta placement. Sometimes there are factors out of our control that will limit our ability to obtain 3D/4D/HD pictures of your baby's face. Please understand that even if baby does not cooperate, or there are factors that prevent 4D imaging, we have still performed a service and we must bill for your time in the studio.

Step by Step walkthrough of your appointment

we only allow one party in the studio at a time so that every group can enjoy their session without interruption! Arrive in our parking lot and check in by text! 239-560-4572

we suggest that you and your guests wait in your vehicle in the cold ac until we text you that we are ready, but you are welcome to gather out front without blocking the studio door!

when you get the ready text your entire group may enter the studio where you will be greeted by your tech! we will go over your package and digital delivery choices, answer any questions and show you which heartbeat animals you have to choose from. be sure to let us know what extras and add ons you are looking for! extra heartbeat animals for you guests? extra photo prints? time at the end for a group photo? let us know so we can use our time for the things that matter most to you during your session!

baby time! everyone will be seated in the same room centered around a large projection screen! don't worry our gel is rarely cold! please know that not all babies will cooperate for their session! consider comfy stretchy clothing or active wear. you might have to roll, stretch and bounce to get baby in the proper viewing pocket all of which is easier without a dress on. bring on the questions we will answer anything we are allowed to! we have lots of interesting things we can show you about your baby!

selected add-ons will be prepped and distributed and we will check out in the front lobby! we use square for our point of sale and accept all major cards, apple pay and cash. We won't turn down a pat on the back for a job well done! tips are always appreciated but never expected! we hope you loved your bonding time with baby!
